Dr Pandup Tshering | Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan

Dr. Pandup Tshering is a distinguished professional with a comprehensive educational background, holding an MBBS degree along with a Masters in Public Health (MPH) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology. Currently serving as a Professor at the Faculty of Undergraduate Medicine (FoUGM) at Khesar Gyalpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan (KGUMSB), Dr. Tshering has held prominent positions in the past, including Health Secretary at the Ministry of Health of the Royal Government of Bhutan, Director General of Medical Services, and Director of the Public Health Department. With extensive experience spanning over three decades, Dr. Tshering has excelled in health governance, planning, and primary healthcare management. He has been actively involved in international endeavors, serving on committees such as the Regional Steering Committee for Civil Registration and Vital Statistics for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP) and contributing as a technical member for various WHO initiatives. Nationally, he has chaired numerous committees and served on boards including the Bhutan Global Fund CCM and the Bhutan Health Trust Fund (BHTF), demonstrating his commitment to healthcare excellence and community welfare.
